Candied Mixed Nuts

A savory, rich snack for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Salted Butter
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Ground Ginger
  • ½ tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 20 oz Mixed Nuts

Instructions

  • Add butter to crockpot and warm until the butter melts.
  • Add the powdered sugar and spice. Stir to bring together.
  • Add the mixed nuts and stir to ensure that the nuts are coated.
  • Set the crockpot to low and allow it to cook for approximately one hour.
  • After one hour, stir the nuts in the crockpot.
  • Return the lid to the crockpot and cook for another hour.
  • Layout a sheet of parchment paper on a cooling rack.
  • Remove the nuts from the crockpot and spread them onto the parchment paper to cool.
  • Once they have cooled, transfer them to a storage container of your choice.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Culinarian Tips, Tricks, and Suggestions:
If you want to add a bit of heat, add 1/2 tsp of Cayenne Pepper to the spice mixture. 
Store the nuts in a sealed bag, covered bowl, or jar.
