Beurre Manié

A French kneaded butter paste that is used to thicken sauces, soups, and stews.

Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 8 tbsp Flour

Instructions

  • Combine the cold butter and flour using a pastry cutter in a large mixing bowl.
  • Using a medium scoop, divide the mixture into balls and roll them in your hands to form balls.
  • Dust them lightly with flour and place on a plate.
  • Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.
